SEIS almost gone

I don’t think that anyone could argue that the recent weeks have been extremely good for a hydro scheme. Anyone who has visited the site recently has commented on just how much water is coming down the burn at Garmony.

The total has risen to £141,250 as of this morning. This is good, but it shows a certain plateauing as Christmas approaches. There are press articles being sent out to cover national papers over the Christmas period and I will be back on the case as of Jan 6th.

The main reason for this post is to inform those of you who haven’t invested yet that there is less than £9,000 left in the SEIS allowance, and to those kind folk who have invested in case you wish to top up your investment that now is the time.

Once the SEIS entitlement is reached we do have the EIS scheme to fall back on. This is also a generous scheme from a tax point of view, but not quite up there with SEIS.

This is my last day before Christmas so don’t be alarmed if the totaliser doesn’t move until Jan 6th.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
