I am proud to announce that the initial £330,000 investment target has been reached, and in true Chris Tarrant style I’m please to say “but we don’t want to give you just that”, I can report that we have sailed past that target and are currently sat at £380,500.
One of the foibles of living in Argyll and especially on Mull is that there is a huge degree of leaving it to the last minute, and all deadlines are pretty much ignored until they loom large. I’ve been contacted by a fairly high number of people all telling me that they want to invest, and are very sorry but they didn’t realise that the closing date for the share offer was effectively today. So with that in mind I’m leaving the door open for investments for a while longer, just so those last investors can send their money in.
I would love to be able to reach £400,000, and if the last couple of days is anything to go by it is certainly achievable. However what I don’t want is for people to invest on a whim. This is a long term commitment and I don’t want that fact to be lost in the euphoria of us achieving this target.
So, what I’m saying is, if you are thinking of investing and can see that the scheme is solid then you still have time, and your investment will be gratefully received. Remember, the more we raise through investments, the less we need to borrow and the more money comes back to the island.
I would like to say a huge Thank you to all who have invested and shown interest and support in Garmony Hydro and Green Energy Mull
