We are now pushing hard towards the £330,000 target and have launched a competition for island groups, clubs and projects with a £500 cash prize on offer. You can take part by selling shares in Green Energy Mull (GEM) on behalf of your nominated island based project or community group. The community group who has sold the most shares at the end of February will receive a cash prize of £500. Entry into the competition for each nominated group or project requires a minimum of £750 to be sold on its behalf.
Since the competition was launched, we already have a number of groups in the running for the prize, including Isle of Mull Rugby Club, Mull Gaelic Choir, Lochdonhead School Parent Council, Mendelsohn on Mull, Craignure Village Hall, Aros Hall, and Mull Musical Minds.
Remember, if you live on Mull or Iona, it’s not too late to start selling shares on behalf of your local cause.
